So I ask, is my motorcycle potentially flashed?".and I say. The original question was."After doing research I realized that this is one of the benefits to flashing a zx14r. You won't hit 340 on a stock Ecu".who saying 340?.You're saying this assuming the top speed limiter has been reset. What if it hasn't?What I'm saying is.these flashes are not the same in every bike.Say a guy sends his ECU out to someone he that flash guy is afraid to raise the limiter cause he really isn't positive it won't blow at some point.so he leaves that alone. But flashes say.the default modes.I'm just saying.the commonest flash reprogram that MOST guys talked about when wanting one was the ability to have the KTRC setting remain where it was last set by the operator. No defaulting back to factory. Some guys don't care about the top speed limiter.they don't plan on going there. As for raising the rpm limiters.most guys want that also. That's why I said.even a flashed bike could appear 'unflashed' by trying certain things and not seeing something different(like a 186 MPH limiter cut).yet it could display a higher rpm setting along the redline. These flash guys.they ask what ya want done.they don't just automatically start changing stuff unless that's been made clear by the operator. My experiences anyway.with FOUR flash guys.PROS I might add.Īussie said."I thought KTRC stayed in the mode you previously selected unless you have it turned off, then it will revert to Mode 1.".nope.cycling the key will cause it to default to '1' regardless of where it was set beforehand. In reality.most flash deals will include.raising the top speed limiter.Raising the redline limiter.Allowing the user settings for Ktrc to remain as set when turned off and back on.Allow the KTRC and/or power modes to be changed while moving. Those are the basic packages out like that you wouldn't particularly notice unless you had ridden it BEFORE those were changed. But for sure.if it's defaulting back,it most likely isn't flashed.that's the primary choice of almost all riders. Some will flash to be able to switch modes while on the fly.others won't.so that's no real confirmation. The KTRC default change is the most wanted. From what I've gleaned reading about what guys mostly wanted.īlkcasper mentioned about the ECU having the flasher's sticker on most likely would have that on there.or something from the guy who did it. I'll get it.Well.if you leave it in KTRC 1 when you shut it off.on the stock ECU.it will default to '1'.so that's not a good check.Trying to confirm a flashed ECU by hitting the top speed limiter isn't a good way may not be flashed to raise the limiter.these flashing packages don't HAVE to have all these things changed.ya'll know that. That's it! I can live with this system but when the FLASH COMES OUT. I felt the power gains above 6000 RPMs and had to get on the throttle. Second, The Rapid Bike RB EVO YAMAHA R1 2020 does exactly as it advertises.įrom the Website: PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING: Rapid Bike always manages all injectors and the very first time ever we will only be able to manage upper (secondary ) injectors on the NEW 2020 R1 model, because of that we are only able to make adjustments above 6000 RPM and over 40% throttle and making manual adjustments below 6000 rpm under 40% throttle will make almost no difference This action seemed to have almost no impact below specified perimeters and results may vary from one bike to another. Also installed the Graves Yamaha R1 Cat Eliminator Exhaust Valve Type-Rįirst, The Graves system drives the EV so staying true and clean to the factory ECU, works well and does smooth out the power band and sounds really nice, not sure the price is worth it but its a done deal for me. I installed the Rapid Bike Module on my 2020 R1.
